A sold-out crowd of more than 500 professionals attended the 2018 Sand Dollar Awards Gala “The Secret Garden – Unlocking Naples’ Finest;” on Saturday, Sept. 22 at The Ritz-Carlton, Naples, presented by the Collier Building Industry Association (CBIA) Sales and Marketing Council (SMC).
According to Sand Dollar Committee Chairperson Minka McDonald of Jinx McDonald Interior Designs Inc., who spearheaded this year’s event with Vice Chairperson Jackie Nelson of Clive Daniel Home and Immediate Past-Chair Karen Gomez of Jeffrey Fisher, more than 250 Sand Dollar Awards were bestowed.

Receiving more than a dozen Sand Dollar awards was Naples Reserve and the builders and designers working within the community.
Naples Reserve and its developer iStar were honored with awards for Community of the Year ($500,000 to $1 million), Best Landscape Design (Over $50,000), Best Logo and Best TV Commercial.
Florida Lifestyle Homes won Product Design of the Year (Single Family Homes, $1.25 to $1.5 million) for its Key Largo model home at Naples Reserve, while Norris Furniture & Interiors received Interior Design of the Year (Single Family Detached Homes, $1.25 to $1.5 million) for its work inside the Key Largo model.
Stock Classic Homes was honored with Product Design of the Year awards for its Naples Reserve model homes Marathon II (Single Family Homes, $800,001 to $900,000) and Plantation II (Single Family Homes, $900,001 to $1 million).
LMG Design Consulting for Pizzazz Interiors won Interior Design of the Year (Single Family Detached Homes, $800,001 to $900,000) for their work on the Marathon II model, with Emilio Sadez from International Design Source as the Trade Award recipient.
BCB Homes also was a winner taking home 12 Sand Dollar awards. Those awards included: Port Royal Custom Residence for Product Design of the Year; Best Pool Design; Best Outdoor Living Area; and Best Use of Custom Wood; Port Royal Private Residence for Product Design of the Year; Best Master Suite; and Best Outdoor Living Area; Audubon Country Club Private Residence: Product Design of the Year; Best Kitchen Design; and Best Use of Custom Wood; The Moorings Private Residence for Best Specialty Feature: Indoor/Outdoor Room; and Audubon Country Club Private Residence for Best Specialty Feature: Game Room & Bar.
