Our partnership with The Immokalee Foundation began in 2019 when they approached BCB Homes President Greg Brisson and Vice President Eric Morris about developing training programs for aspiring construction managers and engineers. This collaboration led to the Career Pathways Learning Lab Project, where students gain hands-on experience in land development, home construction, and sales.
“It’s worth every minute because The Immokalee Foundation has given us an unbelievable opportunity to do what we love for the benefit of the community as a whole,” Brisson said in a FOX4 interview.
Since then, the project has flourished with 11 of 18 homes sold, providing students not only with industry-recognized certifications but also with real-world skills that will guide their future careers. The Learning Lab is a vital part of Immokalee’s transformation, empowering students in the Engineering & Construction Management pathway to work alongside professionals from BCB Homes.
Together, with partners like Immokalee Technical College (iTECH) and Collier Enterprises, this one-of-a-kind experience allows students to earn certifications and acquire invaluable skills that will pave the way for their future careers.
