Jamie Baker is the Director of Employee Experience and Development for BCB Homes, Inc. In her role, she brings together human resources, learning and development, and employee experience to help team members grow, flourish, and thrive while supporting the company’s continued success.
Jamie has been with BCB Homes for 11 years and has held roles including Executive Assistant, IT Relations & Project Manager, Education & Training Manager, and Director of Education & Training. With nearly 30 years of experience in the construction industry, she brings a broad understanding of both the business and the people behind it. She is passionate about helping employees build meaningful careers and creating opportunities for continued learning and development.
Jamie earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with a concentration in Creative Writing and a Master of Arts in Instructional Design & Technology with a focus on eLearning from the University of Central Florida. She holds the SHRM-SCP and CPTM credentials, as well as Florida licenses as a Certified Building Contractor and Real Estate Sales Associate. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction, with plans to focus her dissertation on responsible, compassionate leadership in a world of rapidly advancing technology.
BCB Homes is also a family connection for Jamie. Her husband, Jim, works in Estate Management, and her nephew, John, is a Superintendent. Jamie and Jim have two children, Jimmy and Jordyn. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, reading, learning something new, and finding creative ways to make work and life a little better for those around her.
