A new construction starts as a blank slate, driven by a concept created based on your ideas of what a perfect home should be. The first phase of our three-phase construction process is the Pre-Construction period. During this phase, we will work with you to make all the hard choices and establish clear expectations going forward.
Every construction project has its dedicated team that includes a Project Manager, Field Supervisor, Superintendent, and Selections Coordinator, and the team is led by its own Executive in Charge. From the beginning, this team will oversee each phase of the project.
During Pre-Construction, expect to choose a design team that may feature an architect, landscape architect, and interior designer. If you want to bring in your trusted designer, we are happy to work with client designees. The initial phase also includes establishing preliminary and final pricing and budgetary update guidelines, choosing home systems, and following a process to make decisions about the home plan. We provide the BCB Homes Learning Center and Building Information Modeling (BIM) programs to help make these choices.
The second leg of the new construction process is the actual build. As your home construction progresses, we will provide monthly reports that include photos and scheduling updates. We will notify you immediately if changes occur, and scheduling will always be coordinated and clear. We offer maximum craftsmanship for each element of construction as well.
During construction, we rely on the dedicated project manager to communicate at any time and access current status reports remotely around the clock through the portal, a construction management program that we use to coordinate all aspects of the project.
The final phase of the construction process is the Post-Construction period. It will begin when we deliver your completed custom home. Along with the home, we will provide a world-class warranty, comprehensive customer service program, detailed maintenance manual, maintenance contract proposal, and around-the-clock emergency service.
